Wonderful to meet so many of you online the last two weeks for the beginners seminar and then the advanced one.
So many lovely people from all over the world, even Australia! I thought some fabulous trades revealed themselves and thanks for the lovely feedback.
I hope all of you took a lot of it in and remember the notes should help you, if for any reason you didn't get the notes the day after the seminar, let me know.
There seems a lot of interest so there is a new date for a beginners/improvers session and that is April 28th. Email me for details/costs etc to robbiethetrader with "April zoom seminar interested" in the subject line.
Did you know beats per minute for pop music has been going down for some time. Lockdown is partly to blame - music has got a lot slower and more gloomy.
Imagine my surprise when I heard a new mix of Boney M's Rasputin on rotation on Kiss100.
Hang on, could things be about to change. It's a great mix and hilariously on the youtube comments someone wrote: "My teenager said have you heard this great new download Dad? I said: It's not new."
I think this could mean we are heading into a jolly summer with all the 70s disco hits being re-discovered by the new generation!
Here i is (could it get to number one?
If you want an even better mix with lots of rasputin but also Madonna, the hotstepper and lots other fun bits in there go to my last podcast here and go to 1:02:20
And stop being miserable and have a dance round the kitchen!!
I had the jab! On a cold windy morning I ended up queuing for yonks to get the Oxford jab and I am still alive"¦
It was a smallish centre, once inside there were 12 booths, just a question of sitting there for a while then they came round with a trolley and the jab.
My nurse's name was Holly Hunter, as she said one famous name to another"¦
The jab is totally painless so do not worry, just get it when offered!
My side effects were mild: a bit of a sore arm for a day or two, felt a bit under the weather for the rest of the day and that was about it,
Elizabeth had slightly worse side effects. She felt sick and tired for a day or two and then gradually felt better. We are both booked for jab 2 in May.
The organisation behind vaccinations by the NHS is fantastic. We both got a letter, then you just book online with your choice of vaccine centre.
While mine ended up being at the back of dodgy looking shopping area in shepherd's bush Elizabeth had hers at the Science Museum!
Sadly my second steroid injection has done eff all. I went for a second mri scan at a very excellent centre called Orygen in central London.
Very good service in there - the scan was £270 . The mri machines make a lot of hellish noises so you get headphones with your choice from spotify,
I asked for Cardi B but my operator went blank and suggested 80s!
I was not rewarded by Eye of the fecking Tiger, Aha Take on Me, Africa from Toto and completing this sorry selection.. Foreigner.
There are some lovely people in this world. None more so than the lovely Surendra who came to a seminar a few years ago. He is a spine specialist and asked me to call him regarding my slipped disc back problems.
He calls me and mails me often and is so helpful. He is not after money or praise, he just wants to help a fellow human. I felt anxious re a back issue last week and mailed him and he called me within 5 minutes. He doesn't mind taking time over it.
The same with my fantastic physio Kalpesh who again simply is not interested in taking my money, we get on well and he just wants to help me as a friend. There's only one problem. He likes 60s music and I prefer happy house!
I've always tried to help people for nothing on email if I can. I would always answer anyone whatever the shares problem and try to help myself. I think this is one of the most rewarding things you can do as a human.
I do feel though in the past I could have done more volunteering and I have loved doing things like calling the lonely. Once I am through my back blues I am going to make more effort to help anyone I can. While obviously still being a selfish human but I am going to work on it!
Back remains roughly the same, I am going to remain patient as some days there are signs there is improvement.
The new mri scan showed nothing had got worse. But I am still lying down for a good proportion of the day which I find difficult. I am more upbeat about it than I was and I just have to stay patient.
I am such a sucker for Molton Brown's hand wash and bath/shower gel. OK I know they are
£20 a bottle but you get a lovely smell all day long afterwards.
It's a feeling of luxury and those flavours! I just ordered a new Orange and Bergamot shower gel because there is.. An exciting new bottle! Also on my order list is a brand new variety, Lily and Magnolia and a new fave of mine Flora Luninaire.
I like the products are all made here in the UK too. Worth it for the quality - I just got an email offering 10pc off for friends, mail me if you want the code.
Thanks for all your lovely feedback onrecent zoom events. It was initially hard to do Zoom ones instead
of at hotels and actually meeting people but I have got used to it.
I was hoping they had the same value as hotel ones and judged by feedback
they have. Selfishly they are great for me, I enjoy the banter and I find trades I wouldn't have got on my own.
Jas, thanks for your mail as you've been to two zoom seminars.
Just wanted to say thank you for a couple of wonderful seminars.
Your seminars were brilliant. Delivered methodically and with just a simple honest approach to dealing with the markets. You've helped me immensely in sorting my trading plan out and finding a good and profitable way to trade. After many months trying to figure out level 2, you sorted that out in one afternoon.
Since the seminar, I have placed 5 trades, 2 have closed out with profits and 3 are still running with profits. All trades placed using fundamental research and not Youtube videos
from David:
Well it doesn't happen often, but I am absolutely speechless! I don't think I have ever spent a more worthwhile day nor spent money more wisely and gladly.
I for one was practically at the point of orgasm all day in my enjoyment and appreciation of what you were presenting! Even though I have read NT time and again, to see you going through the process of stock assessment over and over was incalculably useful and I managed to take six A4 pages of notes during the day. I was fascinated to learn about (and see) Level 2 in action and learn more about Spread "ËœBetting'.
I thought the presentation balance was perfection, and Elizabeth was a complete star with her very well-judged handling of the questions....
.....This is a rather long-winded way of saying thank you so much to both of you - today was one of the top five most enjoyable days of my life, and I greatly look forward to joining you again!"
from Giles:
I just wanted to say thank you so much for the seminar last week. It was exactly what I needed to give me the additional confidence I need having read your books. You managed the almost impossible task of making a full day on a Zoom call really enjoyable and importantly, really useful. I also think the way you worked together to cover off all the questions the group had throughout the day was fantastic."
For those of you who missed that one, the next will be March 17th, and
anyone welcome to spend the day with me and Elizabeth. Mail for details
at robbiethetrader with "March interested".
Elizabeth has been brilliant for the electronic sessions, asking me the hardest
questions put by attendees in the all the day chat room a la Jeremy Paxman. She also does some
great sorting out of any tech problems delegates have.
Naked Rambling
Easter is going to be weird this year. You need to work out who you can visit, or not?
Is it six people but it has to be in a garden though you can use their loo. Or is it one other family but they can only use your loo on Easter Monday?
Or is it you can use the loo if you wear a mask but only if you had the first jab?
Or is it one other person in the park as long as you are counting steps on your mobile in which case you don't need a mask unless you are in a bubble?
Or is it someone can see you indoors if you had one jab and they had two plus a negative test? (Flow tests not allowed).
Well I haven't got a clue. If anyone visits sod it I am going to let them in.
I don't care as long I don't get any of those Hotel Du Chocolat upmarket eggs, I am hoping for a mint aero easter egg though please also hope I don't get addicted to mint aeros again.
I'll probably spend Easter moaning about my back to anyone who will listen. I am sure I see the neighbours running for cover when they see me hobbling towards them.
I've given up with politics. I listened to a Keir Starmer phone in. He seems nice enough but not a clue about a single policy he has. Nor do I have a clue about what Boris J believes in.
As for the Lib Dems they seem to have disappeared. At least they won't be rummaging about people's recycling and reporting them. And where on earth has Farage gone?
I feel sorry for the seal that was killed by the dog and also sorry for the dog's owner. I know nothing about dogs having never had one and it was an area where dogs normally roam free.
She didn't expect her dog to do that. She is now probably being trolled but I suspect it could have happened to any dog owner.
Line of Duty (****) BBC1
The superlative series is course you have to ignore the plot holes but taking it as it comes a wonderfully entertaining series. There is as usual too many shortforms as in "Take the chiv and the MIT and stick it in the TOA STER"
A nice little twist before the end sets up the rest of the series with this slow burner of an episode. My only problem with the plot was: Who on earth would bother to stick up a corner bookies these days? They're only going to have 50 quid in the till.
Just doesn't happen now, crime is all online. Got to rush, had a call from the bank saying my account has been compromised and I must move all my money to a new account which they have kindly set up for me.
The one (**) netflix
Bit disappointing this one. Similar to another Netflix series the premise is great - you can take a test and get matched to the person of your dreams. However by episode two the plot gets a bit unconvincing as does the acting, it's all a bit dr whoish.
Four In A Bed (****) Ch 4
New covid episodes. The rival B and Bers now have a drink rather than a meal and breakfast buffets must be served. Other than that it is business as usual for this fun concept which is always a relaxing watch. Nothing more fun than one b and ber seeking revenge on another who criticised something. Then there are accusations of game playing and all. Neatly shows the British might be nice to your face but behind your back"¦ ??!
Ramy (*****) Ch 4/All 4
Ch4 has now decided to shove this away late at night which is a shame because this series is just great. May I point you to episode 7 where Ramy's mum who is lonely and unfulfilled in her marriage decides to make friends/seek romance by becoming an Uber driver. Sweet, funny - and plenty of thought about life/religion. Give it a try (if you can find it!)
Baby Driver (*) Amazon Prime
Paid £1.99 to rent this. That's £1.99 I will never see again - we lasted five minutes, tedious derivative bs comedy crime and so irritating !
But from the ridiculous to the sublime...
White Tiger (*****) Netflix
What a treat this movie is! A poor Indian boy grows up as a servant to a rich family - he loves being a servant until the rich family turn on him. Then he becomes an entrepreneur.
I won't spoil this for you but I can 100pc recommend it. There's fantastic camera work, brilliant music and the script is superb and very witty.
Settle down one evening for a lovely cinematic treat. I bet this movie wins some awards,
A press release arrived in my inbox "Ten foods to give you a boost in the bedroom" (Yes it is called "Desperate marketing".
From my experience this is not yogurt.
I dated one person who decided to spice things up by bringing a large tub of Ski black cherry yoghurt into the bedroom.
Her hand slipped and the next thing I knew the whole lot went right over me.
I've been put off food and sex mixing ever since.

EMAILS: I do beg you not to send me emails asking me for advice on a particular share. It isn't legal for me to give you individual advice and all I do is send you a mail saying that, which wastes a lot of my time and yours too.
****
COPYING TRADES: I can't stop you from copying a trade I made but remember the price may already be a lot higher than I paid indeed I hope it is as buying at good prices is what I do for a living. You may be buying at the top and could easily lose money. Also I can make terrible mistakes and have done in the past. I could also sell before you or before the share tanks. I may still be holding in a year when you sold at a loss. Always do your own research, don't jump in blindly. Market makers are very clever at knowing how to make you pay top dollar and then push you out at a loss. This site is about sensible investment and learning how to trade sensibly and is not a tipping site. Beware. Never push buy on anything till you've done proper research and got yourself a sensible price.

I've had many queries as to when I will be getting the "Naked money" podcasts up and running again. A series where I teach a novice trader how to do it and
every week we pick a share.
Glad to report the 6k we invested together is now
over 9k, a 50pc return over 5 months.
Soon I hope as soon as the osteopath fixes the slipped discs and can sit for more than 15 mins. If you didn't catch it search for naked money whereever you get podcasts from.
My more entertainment based podcast with fun and music as well as lots of shares chat "The naked trader radio show" I hope to get going again soon.
If you never caught that google it, there are four shows, the latest "the naked trader radio show podcast 4"
Yet more loss making companies being floated on the market providing some great short opportunities to come!
Yet more bonkers valuation. A delivery company which makes a massive loss. Valuation? £8bln. Bonkers!
A reviews website that makes a $6m dollar profit. Value - over £1bln. Bonkers !
I am talking Deliveroo and Trustpilot. There is no sign of profits at Deliveroo. It seems to me these companies are all coming on the market now as they know figures will be flattered by lockdown. People will soon be back to eating out,
There are also threats of Deliveroo deliverers being treated as employees. Some lovely short profits soon though no doubt the share prices will rise initially before crashing.
The last few months have seen loads of these types coming to market with backers desperate to cash out before the sh1t hits the fan.
If you get the £1,000 worth of shares on offer to small investors and Deliveroo customers I would personally cash out sooner than later and bag my profit!
Do you know what really gets me? Hardly any new market entrants tell us what their actual profit or loss is now, their debt or their forecasts for the next 3 years.
You just get a ton of waffle.
I suggest any company wanting to float should by financial law right at the top of the document state current losses or profits, and forecast losses or profits. That's real profits not ebita bollocks!
Also net debt or cash must be stated.
Surely as investors this is the most important things we should know. How otherwise can you judge any kind of value from thousands of words of sh1t someone made up as the boss forced them to.
I have no idea how to do this but if any of you want to launch one of those petitions to force this into law you have my backing! Do it under "New IPOS must declare current profits or losses, forecasts for those plus net debt after listing". How's about that?
I hate people who say "I told you so." They are SO annoying!! And so I resisted and resisted writing this but"¦.I can't quite resist showing off dammit. So:
I told you so !! I wrote this about Gamesys a couple of editions ago: "I am also eyeing up potential bid companies in the games space and plumped
for Gamesys (GYS)
With lots of bids going on in this area of the market my suspicion is this could easily
be a bid target and with that in mind I will try and hold unless any massive
question marks appear."
Gamesys got bid for yesterday which is jackpot for me as I am sure most of you attending last week's seminar would have seen the two big spreadbets in two SB accounts I had which currently gives me a lovely profit of over £35,000.
Shares are over the bid price as the market thinks there might be another higher bid, the co still doesn't look expensive so there could be more in it. If there is not a rival bid soon will probably sell half like I did with my other bid win this year Codemasters.
Now I did an "I told you so" already I am being incredibly annoying I may as well double down"¦ told ya so !! Right that's me deleted off a lot of Xmas card lists. Actually I don't mind as they clutter up the kitchen table.
Markets remain fascinating right now.
We discussed this a lot with those of you who attended the two zoom seminars over the last two weeks.
The main discussion was how most days the market seems to want to go down, but most times it starts to fall it appears to get bought up. Why this happens led to some fascinating discussions between us. For example as I write this today it is down a lot, but it will again probably come back.
We discussed holiday shares like Jet2 com, Easyjet, Saga etc and how they have all risen because of hopes of summer hols this year.
I am not so sure. At the online seminar last week I asked for a show of electronic hands to the question:
If you would usually go on summer holiday - are you going to leave it till next year?"
More than half said they would leave it.
I agree, even if a country or two opens up, who wants to faff about with tests, certificates, masks and distancing? Holidays are supposed to be relaxing. It's the back garden this year with maybe Dubai at xmas.
Given that I shorted Saga. We all shed a tear when we qualify for saga's services. There goes our youth, We are now officially grumpy old gits. I suspect there will be some problems with cruises/hols remaining this year and Saga's share price has doubled and more. It's got a lot of different revenue streams.
I have nothing against it but for now I think it's gone a bit too high so a short-term short seemed a good idea as 1 - some of those with profits will cash in and 2- I bet holiday problems will carry on. Anyhow literally just a shorter-term short idea and I don't expect to be in it for long, innit? I'm looking for a fall to say 280-300.
Shorts can be dangerous as if they go against you there is no limit to losses, so a stop is in on this idea.
I still can't buy a Twix at Tescos with Bitcoin and it looks like a massive ponzi scheme though well done if you made money on it I'm not jealous or anything"¦(you jammy gits)
However I have shorted Bitcoin. I did it with IG - you can only do it if you are labelled as a pro trader though. (You need £500,000 in readies to be allowed).
When everyone you meet says "Have you bought Bitcoin?" or "How do you buy Bitcoin?" then it really is time to go short.
My stop loss means I won't lose more than a grand if it keeps on going up which it could easily do.
My final clue to short Bitcoin was when the cleaner asked me how to get some. Nothing against her or anything but you know what I mean. (When I say nothing against her she steals my twixes and mint aeros but I turn a blind eye and continue to search for better hiding places).
A vote at the advanced zoom seminar for most interesting share with growth potential over the whole day went to (drum roll"¦..) Sureserve (SUR).
On the face of it seems like a rather boring one. It provides maintenance, construction and energy support services to homes, schools and public buildings. So far, so yawn!
But "¦ it looks massively undervalued given profits are forecast to grow massively over the next 2 years.
Broker notes from research-tree (see below for an offer re this site) are very bullish and say all valuation measures show the shares are worth over 100p and probably more suggesting there is little downside and lots of upside.
Brokers left valuations unchanged after Bob Holt executive chairman said he was leaving, hats off to him. SUR had a debt of £47m when he joined and now it is debt free.
Some nice upside to come for SUR here given patience.
Another share which came up at both seminars was Luceco (LUCE) which I was very happy to buy live. And I bought some more on the decent results.
Luceco makes and distributes lighting accessories, wiring and portable power products.
Figures this week make great reading.
Profits have nearly doubled, net debt is massively down and dividend payout massively raised, a nice set of figures.
These shares still look underpriced and I reckon they should easily hit over 300p and perhaps head for the 325-335 area.
Indeed just checked broker notes from research-tree and they have a target price roughly the same as mine at 330p.
A reminder if you want 20pc off a sub to set up a free account, click upgrade to the service you want and then type "nakedtrader" into the promo code box.
The Royal Mail (RMG) came up at the zoom seminar, I remember always being sniffy about it and it had big debt and was a dying business.
But hold on!! We did a lot of research on it at the seminar and I liked it despite my previous doubts. (Never have confirmation bias on a share - change your mind based on figures not a previous negative or positive attachment. Don't be stubborn.)
Of course - parcels is a growing business. Indeed I realised we have used Royal Mail's new excellent pick up your parcel from home thing a lot and it works.
And the fundamentals of the business look pretty decent now. And I just wondered - a potential bid target for Amazon? Just a passing thought. All in all looked like a decent idea and I bought some live at the seminar. There is a statement due soon.
And another from the seminar is Halma (HLMA). It is lovely when you can buy a share right at a support level, ie a price it falls to then immediately finds buyers. Because it often means a rise is on the cards and if it falls below support, well just get out with a small loss.
Halma isn't one I would usually get involved with. It's FTSE 100 (no edge) and is rated quite highly - but there is an incredible trading range developing 2200-2600 roughly so a buy in the 2200s seems a reasonable short term idea as a spreadbet. If it works one can then go short if it goes back up to nearer highs. These trading ranges can make money and generally means the market thinks the shares are undervalued at lows and pushing it at highs.
While I was in the trading range trade Halma produced an update yesterday and the market liked it as it upped its profits guidance and also came up with a positive outlook.
So perhaps it could head up to the 2500 area in which case I will bank profits - at any rate I can now stick the stop into break even.
If you'd like to attend the next zoom seminar with me all day from home there is a new date, April 28th, mail me for details at robbiethetrader with "April seminar interested" in the subject line.
I've cashed in on DVO short banking £1,420.
Some fantastic paper profits at the moment after some great statements.
Very bullish from CMCX today pushing the shares up again - big profits sitting there and with its sibling, IG Group.
Inspiration Healthcare has soared, bit of profit taking but likely there will be another move up.
Gattaca has flown higher and nearly doubled from my buy last month. ITV continues to look strong. Solid State has been in a solid state.
I realised after the last seminar I have nearly £700,000 sitting in spreadbet accounts and as I don't use that much of the margin I have withdrawn £50,000 and stuck it in national savings. Whenever I do bank money.. That's when I think "ok this money really is real."
Will markets continue to flourish? That is the big question. Maybe some topslicing will be needed soon.
And now a story you simply couldn't make up.
At Shoe Zone, director Paul Foot is leaving to be replaced by..
Terry Boot!!
I guess we can definitely say the boot is on the other foot.
(Terry Boot's doctor is obviously Dr Martens).
Ig created a stir among traders by axeing coverage of 900 odd shares. Customers were forced onto 100pc margin and many have not long to close them out,
It said it was forced into it by its own broker - I suspect sb firms are alarmed by the Gamestop palava and they've been inundated with too many new accounts chasing the same pump and dump shares.
Out of the 900 axed shares I only held two and am allowed to hang on as a "pro" trader.
Actually an interesting list of mostly rubbish and I suspect those forced out might be glad eventually!
There are some surprise bigger shares in there that IG will no longer deal in so for those of you who mailed me re other accounts I suggest
>
for the top 350 shares, spreads are often the best and it will deal in most 350 shares and some that IG won't. It also pays 2% interest on free cash up to 20k paid monthly.
For small caps try Spreadex say for the moment they will carry on with most of the shares so that could be another place to deal in shares IG won't.
Those who moan about 100pc margins, well I do suggest in my SB book not to use margin much - the sb firms can any time ask you to go 100pc. If this is a worry and you do not have the money to cover look on it as a warning and stop using too much leverage ok! (Yes Robbie stop being horrid to me).
**NEW OFFER: Research tree discount offer: 20pc off.***
As most of you are aware I don't take ads or recommend anyone apart from the
couple of firms I use all the time and trust.
I could probably make millions from agreeing to deals offered by forex cos,
dodgy systems et all. They're all con merchants and I would never ever sleep
at night if I just took their money, so I don't much to their bewilderment! That's
why you don't see any ads on the website.
However I actually approached a company to suggest I recommend them as long
as they gave my lovely readers a decent discount and it agreed.
The site is called research-tree and I really can recommend it as it is a big
help and complements the brilliant stockopedia, the only other site I recommend.
It is very hard as an investor to get hold of brokers notes/recommendations, their
in depth research on companies. Either it is expensive or there are silly rules re who
can access them.
So this site has broker notes on companies, plenty of in depth research. You can find things such as pre-tax profit forecasts and the most shorted companies. There's an easy search facility and also a news feed.
So for example on the morning of a share result or statement you can get a broker report on that share, it is really useful! Broker reports are usually very in depth and I especially like being able to see a full year pre tax profit forecast which seems impossible to get elsewhere.
You can get a limited free account - for full access if you like it - click "upgrade" and there is a 20 per cent discount if you type nakedtrader into the discount code box.
The address is - for the discount remember the code nakedtrader after you ask to upgrade. If you upgrade let me know if the upgrade thing works well and is easy or if you encountered any probs getting the 20pc off.
Trades made for my sipp are exclusively available on my
email service (this is the website stuff plus exclusive trades mailed
to you earlier on update days). For subscription details mail me
with "email interested"

as their spread is the tightest at 0.8. Also very

25% off Stockopedia sub and free trial
Stockopedia is indeed like a stock market encyclopaedia and a great place to scan for new shares to buy, check out fundamentals, discuss on a sensible bulletin board. Each share gets a ranking, you can use "guru" screens to find shares, there is even a stock screen loosely based on my criteria! There are strategies based on ideas from top investors.
There is lots more really fantastic material and I believe access should help investors and I now use it myself.
For your 25% discount off any sub (eg £56 discount off UK sub) and free 14 day trial you need this link:

Trade tables follow! Trades are current open and recently closed trades. Closed trades feature the closing price and the amount I won or lost. All others are open. Trades get updated a little later than the narrative. Trading costs are ignored, however I also do not add in dividend payments and with the kinds of companies I buy, dividends tend to equal or outweigh costs. Spread rollovers ignored for web purposes. Tables as accurate as poss however a mistake or two can creep in and very occasionally if I forgot I sold or bought something it will be added at a later time. Trades first reported in the diary under Markets every other Thursday afternoon.
