Thanks very much for your feedback to the NT Radio show 4. Glad you
enjoyed it! If you haven't heard it yet it is here:

>

Plenty of shares chat and some fun too. Entries are starting to come
in for the £100 comp - worth having a go as not many have bothered
and it remains open for a few weeks. Good luck it is not easy!

Times changed so fast! If you told me 3 months ago I'd be doing
seminars online with people inside my computer I'd have said "no way!"

I did a follow up last wednesday, a spreadbetting one yesterday and there is
a beginners/improvers one next wednesday!

While knackering they have been surprisingly enjoyable.

Mrs NT has become very adept at making sure you are all happy and
online, taking questions in the live chat, passing them on.

At yesterday's one, we had interesting visits from top bosses of
three different spreadbet firms.

Before that some great trading ideas from my follow up students.

Some of you came to both and it is lovely to see newer investors
getting much more skillful and beginning to make good money.

Thanks for all the feedback for the events. Love doing them and
see some of you in my computer next week!

You should all be getting questionaires to fill up at the weekend
and grateful for any of you who answer them as it gives me
ideas of who you are and what you want.

There is small space left for next week so email me if you would
like to spend the day with me.. from your home! Mail
robbiethetrader with "June overflow seminar interested".

The wave swimming pool I bought for the garden has proved
a super investment. Well, maybe not investment then.

But it has brought a huge "wave" of fun for lockdown... and
beyond.....

It is probably hard to explain if you've not heard of one.

It actually looks like the biggest bathtub you ever saw. OK, think
of it like a hot tub you can swim in properly.

You can set waves to come at you which means you swim properly
on the spot.

Given I have swum most days since my 20s this is a big life
changer for me to be able to swim every day again.

The Mrs is learning to swim and really enjoying it and at the end of an
evening it's nice to wallow in bubbles under the stars.

We'll show those of you coming to the online seminar next week!

We had a frog in the kitchen last night -exciting for us townies!

The cats were absolutely terrified. Mice are easy and fun to chase.

They did not like something that could leap high in the air
directly at them and they went scuttling for cover!

Vera who I talk to every week on behalf of the Silver Line charity
is absolutely delighted lockdown is easing.

This weekend she gets to see her son for the first time in
a long time - and he is bringing a picnic.

I'm working on a brand new exciting project which is a podcast
in conjunction with Global Radio.

The idea behind it is how to explain the world of shares to someone
a youngish radio DJ - right from scratch without all the boring jargon.

So we've recorded the pilot this week which is me and a presenter
from Radio X. He's in his 20s and looking to buy shares for the first
time.

I guess it's like me, the friendly old fart trying to advice the young
old fart to be (it happens to us all, dudes) .

If it gets the green light it will be weekly and hopefully of some interest to
those of you more experienced. We'll be each picking a share a week to
add to a real portfolio. Let you know if it goes ahead!

Follow up zoom seminar: July 29th
For those who've been to a starter hotel or online seminar before - more in depth, lots
of live trading, research, spreadbets, virus thought, supply and demand, finding great shares plus your ideas - your place! email me at robbiethetrader with "follow up interested".

Thanks for all the feedback on the online seminars, latest
from David:

Well it doesn't happen often, but I am absolutely speechless! I don't think I have ever spent a more worthwhile day nor spent money more wisely and gladly.

I for one was practically at the point of orgasm all day in my enjoyment and appreciation of what you were presenting! Even though I have read NT time and again, to see you going through the process of stock assessment over and over was incalculably useful and I managed to take six A4 pages of notes during the day. I was fascinated to learn about (and see) Level 2 in action and learn more about Spread "ËœBetting'.

I thought the presentation balance was perfection, and Elizabeth was a complete star with her very well-judged handling of the questions....

.....This is a rather long-winded way of saying thank you so much to both of you - today was one of the top five most enjoyable days of my life, and I greatly look forward to joining you again!"

Next beginner's/improvers July 15th (June sold out)

Naked Rambling

I'm not going to blame anyone or anything for the state of the economy/
how we handled the virus and all that.

I just imagined what if I had to make the decisions! Get anything even slightly
wrong and be crucified. Only history will tell us what we could have done
better.

The shops are open! Yeah! I must go and spend!

Oh hang on, I never liked going to them in all the years before
the lockdown.

I wish there was stuff I wanted to buy but there really isn't much.

I got a big sun umbrella for the garden pool. And... er.. well couldn't
think of much else.

Let's hope the hospitality industry can partially open next month.

We are hoping Brasserie Blanc can open as it has a lot of outside
space. We will be booking the first table as have so missed
the beef bourginon.

This new football without fans is weird, even stranger is the TV coverage
on Sky.

You can either: watch with fake crowd noise, watch with just the real noise
from the ground, or watch with four people having their say.

I think the best was just the actual coverage. The fake crowd noise felt
unbearable!

I hope they don't play fake crowd noise from the Fulham games. If they
do the volume will be on silent!

Homecoming (****) (Amazon)

The second series from the makers of Mr Robot.

The first had Julia Roberts as the lead this time she is the producer. The
same kind of start to the last series. Sam Esmail has a certain
love of camera angles similar to Better Call Saul. Nothing moves
fast but it doesn't matter as it is so well made.

The Salisbury Poisonings(***) (BBC1)
I thought I would really love this as the story is so
intriguing. But there was something lacking - it was pretty
slow at times. Maybe too many hospital scenes, at some
points it felt like an episode of Casualty.

But it did bring out the true grit and amazing qualities that
so many who serve the public have. I suspect HBO would
have made it better but not a bad job. Putin got away with it
though didn't he!

Just a few days ago there were warnings of hose pipe bans
because of a water shortage.

Today headlines say there is a flooding risk as rain batters
Britain!

The kids game musical statues has now changed.

Now all the kids have to leap on the kid being
the best statue and bring him crashing to the ground.

MARKETS

EMAILS: I do beg you not to send me emails asking me for advice on a particular share. It isn't legal for me to give you individual advice and all I do is send you a mail saying that, which wastes a lot of my time and yours too.

****
COPYING TRADES: I can't stop you from copying a trade I made but remember the price may already be a lot higher than I paid indeed I hope it is as buying at good prices is what I do for a living. You may be buying at the top and could easily lose money. Also I can make terrible mistakes and have done in the past. I could also sell before you or before the share tanks. I may still be holding in a year when you sold at a loss. Always do your own research, don't jump in blindly. Market makers are very clever at knowing how to make you pay top dollar and then push you out at a loss. This site is about sensible investment and learning how to trade sensibly and is not a tipping site. Beware. Never push buy on anything till you've done proper research and got yourself a sensible price.

Well, no real change over the last two weeks.

Every time you think it is going to collapse another lot of
buying comes in and lifts it.

As I said last time just because I think markets should be way lower
means nothing - going against a trend can be rather damaging!

So I remain cautious, in some cash. For now taking each share
on its merits. Trying to short the bad ones and buying the good.

There is a lot of market gambling going on. Will such and such a
share have the virus cure? I must buy an airline or a holiday
company as this summer it will be takeoff!

But for now no-one really knows if the virus is on the retreat
or is another wave coming.

Things could change quickly so I am on the alert if markets start
to fall below support. If so I would begin to go short and back
into more cash.

I was in more than £1 million in cash till recently but spent about
half of that in the last few weeks buying up shares.

Many of those have had a good run so it won't take much for me
to bank the profits, get out and spend the summer in the garden!

In the meantime I will buy and sell as I used to.

Interesting to chat to so many of you online at the follow up zoom seminar and
the spreadbetting one yesterday.

More of you seem interested in shorting than previously and it seemed more people
were bearish than bullish - there is a case for both for now!

Btw there is still some small online space for the beginner/improvers zoom seminar
with me on Wednesday, please mail me if interested at robbiethetrader
with "June 24 overflow interested" for details and costs.

I've bought some 888 - a gambling company - shares of this one have halved
in recent times.

However there may be some upside here. The US is gradually
opening up. It has a decent cash pile and looks to be increasing
profits for the next year.

Possible downside is governments have been cracking down (rightly)
on gambling cos but likely this is in the price now.

If it can conquer the 150p area then 180p is a likely
initial target area.

I bought some more TP Group (TPG) - this one could have
some serious upside.

I like to average up and this looks the perfect candidate with lots
of good news coming out on this one.

As the news comes out, the price carries on rising and it looks like
a previous seller is out.

It's announced its first production of oxegen from its new
system which could be a good long-term earner and today
it said 18m Eur of work orders have been secured under its
ESA contract.

It is beginning to look like a company with bright prospects that
has been underrated, if the market re-rates it there could
be a lot of upside as its rating has been low for some time.

Buyers are coming in and initial target is over 10p.

I bought some Telecom Plus (TEP). (This is the stock market
name for Utility Discount Warehouse). It provides energy, telecoms,
broadband and insurance on all one monthly bill. We have taken all
the services for years.

Before I go on, just a reminder I am a big shareholder with over £300,000 of
shares, mostly in a certificate bought many years ago for small money!

And I have also been a distributor for them since 2000 and so I am pointing out
I am definitely biased towards them - probably the only share I have an emotional attachment to so definitely biased.

Results on Tuesday were excellent. The Times summed it all up
well in its "Buy" piece. The virus is putting rivals out of business and
expectations that Ofgem's price cap will fall later this year making
TEP's energy prices - which trades as Utility Warehouse - more
of a bargain. It is also a decent defensive share.

The big news is dividend is up and WILL be paid out unlike a lot of
companies and as long as you are in it by July 8th you'll
get
a massive 30p dividend. This is my big income share and I get
two massive cheques a year.

If you want to try out any of its services like energy, broadband, phone
etc let me know as still a distributor. It is usually in the top 2/3 value providers on which mag. Joining via me will get you free
access to the sub email. You could also sell its services too (you get
an ongoing cut whenever your customer uses energy or telecoms etc).

I added some more of drugs company Vectura (VEC).

I discussed reasons for this one last time - but I've added as it gradually seems to be
adding one or two pence a day.

It is trying to get through the crucial 100p mark at the moment and if it
can make a few closes above that, then it would look very bullish.

It is in the respiratory market which is much in demand for obvious reasons.
I've shorted Trainline (TRN). We discussed this at the online
spreadbetting seminar yesterday and I shorted some live.

I just don't see at all why this one is so highly rated! It is not
forecast to make a loss this year and next and has some
debt. The bull argument is people will have to buy their tickets
online now.

But this looks all in the price. Less people will use trains for
some time. I won't fight the trend if it carries on going up but
this looks a reasonable point to bet on it to fall.

Also shorted AO world. Made a lot shorting this before and it looks
to have risen way too much.

Sure, people are buying more stuff online but no profit
this a small one maybe next and a load of debt. What's to like?

I also shorted some more Card Factory (Card). Again,
I don't see any value in what looks like a dying business.

Life has moved on and people just don't buy cards like they
used to. Oh, happy father's day this sunday!

I took profits of £695 on ITV - I had some nice gains and fancied
banking the profits. I expect I will be back in soon as in the
back of my mind that bid will come sooner than later!

Elsewhere some big risers for some recent buys.

Very nice profits now from Codemasters, Avon,
D4T4 and ABDP.

So, all in all, the market sits in a tighter range than it has been
waiting for the next move.

And that could be a lot higher or a lot lower. You could either
place your bets now, or like me, sit - wait and see.

Don't watch the awful "Dogging Tales" on TV tonight.
You will see some hideous sights that could put you off sex for life.

I don't understand people who "dog".

Just do what I do and become a freelance sex doll tester.

Though I have to say... it can be hard work at times...

EXTRA INCOME FROM HOME

When I left my full-time job to trade it really helped having another income: this I got from part-time selling energy and phone services to people and getting a cut of their use of their home services forever! I still get enough from it now to pay all my bills. I am a great believer in multiple incomes and this is a great one in my opinion as anyone could do it.

Trade tables follow! Trades are current open and recently closed trades. Closed trades feature the closing price and the amount I won or lost. All others are open. Trades get updated a little later than the narrative. Trading costs are ignored, however I also do not add in dividend payments and with the kinds of companies I buy, dividends tend to equal or outweigh costs. Spread rollovers ignored for web purposes. Tables as accurate as poss however a mistake or two can creep in and very occasionally if I forgot I sold or bought something it will be added at a later time. Trades first reported in the diary under Markets every other Thursday afternoon.
