The new book The Naked Trader's guide to Trading Strategies is officially out and is available from the website below or from Amazon.
Thanks for the kind words from those of you who have read it already, I am really pleased.
You can't really tell when you're writing a book whether it's useful or not but from early feedback anyhow it looks like it is.
I have tried to put as many ideas as I could into it and hopefully you'll find a few that'll help.
Amazon link is here
My publisher says it has contacted Amazon re problems with ordering it brand new though any probs should be sorted shortly.
The live hotel seminar on October 13th is now a go!

Nice night out at one of the theatres my sister owns, The Garrick last night.
We were invited to the press night of a new comedy called The Crown Jewels which is a big laugh and stars Al Murray (The Pub Landlord).
I had a seat next to Max Weitzenhoffer her business partner who owns half the theatres with my sister Nica.
He is now in his 80s and has won many theatre awards.
A lovely, lovely man who looks in his 50s, no idea how he does it.
He bought shares in Mobil decades ago and luckily had the patience to hang onto them and make a fortune!
Review next time as so busy today- interesting to see London looking very busy as we walked from Waterloo to the Garrick. I handed out my usual £20 to Big Issue sellers.
If you want to see any of the shows at my sister's theatres go to
Had a lovely catch up in town last week with an old friend Helen.
My friend Helen has her first novel out "Murder By Natural Causes" by Helen Erichsen.
It's about a young hit woman who specialises in bumping people off using methods that make the killing look like a natural death.
Full of twists and turns it's a gripping page turner and there's a lot of humour too.
Helen sent me chapters as she was writing it and I was delighted to encourage her and I enjoyed getting the instalments.
A great holiday novel to take with you over the summer. You can order it here from Amazon:
>
As well as knowledge on how to kill people (don't get in her bad books) she is a brilliant bridge player and has represented England several times.
I get a credit at the front of the book which is nice!
Enjoyed meeting some of you at the online seminar last week.
It's very tiring doing them but worth it for the feedback like Robert who said:
The best course I have ever been on. Seeing you work through the process was eye opening and amazing."
Thanks for the lovely feedback like this from Chris:
I've been a teacher for the last 30 years and I'm not sure I could have kept a group of pupils so captivated for so long.
Humour and in-depth subject knowledge go a long way!
Too many best bits to mention, but I was impressed that you had read all the questionnaires and had something to say about each one.
Also, I loved seeing your thought process in deciding which shares to trade and level 2 was also an eye opener."
Phil:
The seminar was delivered with huge integrity (there was Zero hidden agenda/ulterior motives, it was simple and open with some great laughs thrown in)
As much as I found myself trying to complicate the process and make it more sophisticated in my own tiny brain.
You also took the time to answer "every" question anyone posed. And it was every question. Loads of shares ideas to boot, but more importantly the process to find your own. Brilliant!
Thanks Andrew - we have got rather experienced at running them on zoom now!
Jas, thanks for your mail as you've been to two zoom seminars.
Just wanted to say thank you for a couple of wonderful seminars.
Your seminars were brilliant. Delivered methodically and with just a simple honest approach to dealing with the markets. You've helped me immensely in sorting my trading plan out and finding a good and profitable way to trade. After many months trying to figure out level 2, you sorted that out in one afternoon.
Since the seminar, I have placed 5 trades, 2 have closed out with profits and 3 are still running with profits. All trades placed using fundamental research and not Youtube videos
from David:
Well it doesn't happen often, but I am absolutely speechless! I don't think I have ever spent a more worthwhile day nor spent money more wisely and gladly.
I for one was practically at the point of orgasm all day in my enjoyment and appreciation of what you were presenting! Even though I have read NT time and again, to see you going through the process of stock assessment over and over was incalculably useful and I managed to take six A4 pages of notes during the day. I was fascinated to learn about (and see) Level 2 in action and learn more about Spread "ËœBetting'.
I thought the presentation balance was perfection, and Elizabeth was a complete star with her very well-judged handling of the questions....
.....This is a rather long-winded way of saying thank you so much to both of you - today was one of the top five most enjoyable days of my life, and I greatly look forward to joining you again!"
Naked Rambling
Here we are then, the start of the summer stupor where everything seems to relax and calm down (except the sodding markets).
A lot about adhd around at the mo. Probably because most performers/comedians have it.
Adhd is also known to be a super power because those can suddenly hyperfocus on things, can think well outside the box and are brilliant actors, performers and marketeers.
I feel I have it a bit myself, though I can concentrate for long periods if I want to I can get very easily distracted.
Having had a son with adhd going through school it strikes me nothing is done for these kids.
They find it next to impossible to sit for hours in classrooms which is why teachers label them as the naughty or bad kids.
But, boy, can they surprise with amazing ideas and thoughts.
I reckon we need a few specialist adhd schools where kids are taught in say 15 minute sessions and are allowed to do much more sport and activity.
Many adhd kids end up being brilliant in business, university is no good for them. For example we would never consider university for ours, he is hyper focused on setting up businesses.
I'm so glad our son has it "" I'm sure he will shine and make the millions he desires! He has a few interviews this week.
The latest BBC payment figures are out. Zoe Ball nearly a million!!!
What!
Worse remains Gary Lineker. £1.3 million how! And he earns even more from ITV.
I can't understand why what is in effect taxpayers' money is wasted like this.
After all it is just a few short links between football games and he doesn't even do the Sunday one.
Time for us to demand: Axe him, and pay someone else a lot less to do the links and believe me the viewing figures won't alter one iota.
Whatever happens though my team Fulham will always only get a 5 minute coverage somewhere near midnight.
TV is now in the summer slump. The only things that get broadcast are the rotten things.
The good stuff waits till September.

Apparently "phubbing" is adding to marital woes.
This is taking more notice of your phone than your partner.
It means a lot less talking between partners which isn't good.
I find the worst is when someone approaches you with their phone and you think "here we go I've got to watch a hilarious video clip."
Actually worse is when someone heads towards you with their phone to show off about some trip in the rain forest in a remote part of Africa.
This is like saying "I am a real adventurer while you just lie on a sunbed in Palma. I am so much better than you."
You're got real problems though if your partner starts texting during sex.
Just doing the shopping list.. you can keep going though.."

EMAILS: I do beg you not to send me emails asking me for advice on a particular share. It isn't legal for me to give you individual advice and all I do is send you a mail saying that, which wastes a lot of my time and yours too.
****
COPYING TRADES: I can't stop you from copying a trade I made but remember the price may already be a lot higher than I paid indeed I hope it is as buying at good prices is what I do for a living. You may be buying at the top and could easily lose money. Also I can make terrible mistakes and have done in the past. I could also sell before you or before the share tanks. I may still be holding in a year when you sold at a loss. Always do your own research, don't jump in blindly. Market makers are very clever at knowing how to make you pay top dollar and then push you out at a loss. This site is about sensible investment and learning how to trade sensibly and is not a tipping site. Beware. Never push buy on anything till you've done proper research and got yourself a sensible price.

MARKETS
A nasty couple of weeks followed by some relief rallies as the market stormed up after inflation worries eased.
We moved from fear earlier in the week to a massive rally yesterday and today.
The lower inflation figures announced have massively helped sentiment.
Can the positivity carry on flowing over the summer?
It would be nice but isn't it amazing how fear can turn to greed and greed to fear in just a few seconds?
Yesterday defence outfit Cohort put out a decent statement and I bought some early doors.
Profits are well up, so is net cash and the dividend which is up 10% so the divi will be close to a nice 4%.
Looks like the above expectations results come in a bit under the radar and it looks cheap, no surprise if someone snapped this one up.
It has contracts and order books bigger defence companies would want and given it's a small company I don't think there would be any government inquiry from competition authorities.
I reckon worth a good 200p more to a possible bidder. Patience might pay off and I have it! (Patience)
I bought a few Foresight Group Holdings though wish I'd had the foresight to buy it a bit lower.
There's a been a bid for a similar company last week and a massive premium.
That potentially brings Foresight into play as it's a similar infrastructure and private equity manager.
It's growing very nicely and while I wait for hopefully some corporate action there's a lovely dividend of more than 5%.
I have added more Iqgeo which is now my joint equal biggest holding along with Me Group International.
I have roughly £120k of Iqgeo in real life. (IQG)
While Iqgeo no longer looks cheap the future here looks very bright so I didn't mind paying up extra for more.
It's just revealed two more contract wins and a very bullish trading update.
Lots of opportunities for it too with the cash, and it could be a nice longer time Isa sit and wait.
Another one where I think a bidder could come a calling and in that case
we could be looking at a 30-40% premium.
As usual I love being an "average upper" rather than the loss-making idea of "averaging down".
Indeed much prefer buying into a good company where the share price keeps rising and buying on the rise.
And now time to be a hyprocrite! I bought one on the way down "" Future.
This publisher has been hammered after worries about AI and I feel the downside has been overdone and I think the future is a higher share price.
Of course when you buy a share that's gone down a lot on the way back up care and a good exit plan is required.
I picked up some Craneware.
It's just announced an ahead of expectations statement.
Now, on my usual metrics it doesn't look cheap: but I think there is some potential major upside.
Just speculation on my part but it is the market leader in Value Cycle solutions in the US healthcare market.
If I was Craneware I would look for a joint listing in the US or even a switch.
That's because in the US a company like this would probably be valued a lot higher.
In the meantime, net debt has come down a lot and a lot looks positive.
This one could run up some more over the summer in advance of results on Sept 5th
Finally a top up in premium builders Morgan Sindall.
Looks fabulously cheap "" the one problem to be wary of is the early morning spread which can be silly before the real orders come in.
See archive for more on this one.
Onto a profit take.
Not much was really screaming to be sold but I bagged profits on Argx of £7,030 as upside looks limited for a bit from here.
Be interested in getting back in a bit lower should that happen.
Telecom Plus is on the way back up "" it went down today only because it went ex dividend. People always forget about ex dividends and panic because their share has gone lower.
Or worse they didn't adjust the stop loss and got stopped out!
It now offers a fixed rate energy deal below the cap, mail for details if interested.
Fabulous results from new FTSE 250 entrant MEGP, my second largest holding now.
All businesses are rising well especially laundry where units are being rolled out between 50 and 60 a month.
With a lovely dividend too, what's not to like? A little profit taking has temporarily taken a few pence off the high, good time to buy some I reckon.
YU and ME Group are heading higher. THEM just isn't doing anything though.
A reminder you can spend the day with me online on Sep 27th or at a hotel near Heathrow on October 13th.

I love companies with decent cash piles and I've developed a screen for shares with cash with Sharepad to go with my new book.
The screen goes with one of my strategies from the new book "Dash for Cash".
The idea is it picks up sensible shares with a cash pile for further examination.
I don't mean it to be "just buy any share on the screen." My idea is it's a start for further research as just because a company has a cash pile doesn't necessarily mean it's a great company.
If you don't have Sharepad you can try a free trial using the link below, if you think it is useful after the trial you get a decent discount on the link and can pay monthly if you want.

Spreadco still seems to have the tightest spreads for FTSE 250 shares and the FTSE.
> to open an account under Dymitry.
For small caps try Spreadex say for the moment they will carry on with most of the shares so that could be another place to deal in shares IG won't.
If you are thinking of A ftse trade try
as their spread is the tightest at 0.8. Also very pleased with execution - FTSE cos the cheapest spreads there too.

Trade tables follow! Trades are current open and recently closed trades. Closed trades feature the closing price and the amount I won or lost. All others are open. Trades get updated a little later than the narrative. Trading costs are ignored, however I also do not add in dividend payments and with the kinds of companies I buy, dividends tend to equal or outweigh costs. Spread rollovers ignored for web purposes. Tables as accurate as poss however a mistake or two can creep in and very occasionally if I forgot I sold or bought something it will be added at a later time. Trades first reported in the diary under Markets every other Thursday afternoon.
