**NEW: New date for next seminar is Jan 27th - mail me with January interested at robbiethetrader
Off to the West End at the weekend to see the last night of the play "Marvellous" at my sister Nica's brand new theatre @Sohoplace.
She's also set up a new restaurant at the theatre called "Stars".
This is on top of owning five other west end theatres, picking the shows, dealing with everything it takes to run them.
No idea at all how she does it except to say she is marvellous herself.
The new theatre is sensational, in the round so every seat has a perfect view, actually perfect for Shakespeare and indeed the next show is the classic "As You Like It".
Right at the top is "Nica's Bar", a stunning bar with a large balcony giving a fantastic view of that part of London.
It's right by Tottenham Ct Road tube so perfect for transport too with the Elizabethan line right there.
Marvellous was about Neil Baldwin, a learner struggler and it's all about his life as a circus clown and kit man for Stoke City.
It's a very moving story - it's also a great film too.
Neil himself was in the audience and was wheeled on for a huge round of applause.
A lot of fun and great to meet the actors at the after show party.
When people ask me what I do for a living I usually invent something.
If I say "Trading" people think I'm a banker wanker or spend hours telling me their share "tips".
A few years ago I ran into trouble at a dinner when I said I owned a holiday home for cats.
The person opposite was desperate to get into that very area and I was quizzed about costs for the whole night.
I didn't have the heart to say I was just joking.
At the theatre party I went for the cats home thing again - talk about lightening striking twice.
I own a holiday home for cats," I said when quizzed on what I did.
Oh my goodness," said my quizzee. "I have literally just started a cats home! How much revenue and how many slots have you got?"
This time I got lucky.
My sister came up and whisked me away to meet others. "So sorry," I said, not being really sorry at all.
Anyway that's it. I'm going back to saying I own a sex toy testing company.
That works a whole lot better.
If you fancy a visit to Nica's new theatre or any of her others there are some great shows and I would recommend Derren Brown's new show, he is just fantastic and it is great fun.
Go to to book any of her shows.
Good to meet a few of you at the last event.
Lots of beginners, I know there was a lot to get your heads round but three of you have booked the follow up so I must have broken through!
Only one woman which is unusual, so well done Linda! (And your fabulous dining room)
Lots of interesting ideas came up and it was a fascinating day to do it with markets well up.
Thanks for the lovely feedback like this from Chris:
What a great day! Thanks so much for the effort and time you both put in.
I've been a teacher for the last 30 years and I'm not sure I could have kept a group of pupils so captivated for so long.
Humour and in-depth subject knowledge go a long way!
Too many best bits to mention, but I was impressed that you had read all the questionnaires and had something to say about each one.
Also, I loved seeing your thought process in deciding which shares to trade and level 2 was also an eye opener.
Thanks Chris, we so enjoyed it.
Thanks a lot for recent online seminar feedback!
.. Such as this from Phil:
The seminar was delivered with huge integrity (there was Zero hidden agenda/ulterior motives, it was simple and open with some great laughs thrown in)
As much as I found myself trying to complicate the process and make it more sophisticated in my own tiny brain.
You brought it back to, Keep Things Simple. Do Your Own Research. Trade without emotion and above all, trade the market you find"¦ not what you or some pundit thinks it should be.
You also took the time to answer "every" question anyone posed. And it was every question.
Loads of shares ideas to boot, but more importantly the process to find your own.
Brilliant!
Thanks Andrew - we have got rather experienced at running them on zoom now!
Claire mailed me with some feedback on the seminar which she attended.
Thanks for a fantastic seminar, I learned a lot and got every question I could think of answered. I think the most beneficial thing to me was just seeing with my own eyes how you go through the process of picking shares to buy and witnessing your thought process as you go through and also being able to ask questions as they arise. The system you and Elizabeth have for answering all the questions is fabulous & means you depart the maximum amount of information that is humanly possible in one day! The next day I just wished I was doing the course again instead of going back to work as it seemed dull in comparison."
Thanks Claire! It was a lovely group with a great sense of humour.
Jas, thanks for your mail as you've been to two zoom seminars.
Just wanted to say thank you for a couple of wonderful seminars.
Your seminars were brilliant. Delivered methodically and with just a simple honest approach to dealing with the markets. You've helped me immensely in sorting my trading plan out and finding a good and profitable way to trade. After many months trying to figure out level 2, you sorted that out in one afternoon.
Since the seminar, I have placed 5 trades, 2 have closed out with profits and 3 are still running with profits. All trades placed using fundamental research and not Youtube videos
from David:
Well it doesn't happen often, but I am absolutely speechless! I don't think I have ever spent a more worthwhile day nor spent money more wisely and gladly.
I for one was practically at the point of orgasm all day in my enjoyment and appreciation of what you were presenting! Even though I have read NT time and again, to see you going through the process of stock assessment over and over was incalculably useful and I managed to take six A4 pages of notes during the day. I was fascinated to learn about (and see) Level 2 in action and learn more about Spread "ËœBetting'.
I thought the presentation balance was perfection, and Elizabeth was a complete star with her very well-judged handling of the questions....
.....This is a rather long-winded way of saying thank you so much to both of you - today was one of the top five most enjoyable days of my life, and I greatly look forward to joining you again!"
Naked Rambling
Who'd have thought Nick Hancock would get third?
Turns out he's actually a prat rather than an ar*shole but let's face it, a have a go prat.
But time he came out of politics and went into showbiz.
Like most politicians he's just an attention seeker.
Bet you within 2 years he'll be hosting a reality TV show.
The world cup's been pretty entertaining.
You couldn't ask for more than defeats for some of the top teams Vs the bottom ones.
It's quite fun spreadbetting on the cup - brings life to every game.
I've got a little spreadbet on Portugal to win. Obviously would like England to win but can't quite bring myself to put that bet on.
One of the bets that have paid off is number of goals in a game.
You're usually quoted 2-3 goals and I've had some success "buying" the spread.
Ie say the spread is 2.8-3 goals and you buy for £50, if it's a 3-3 draw so 6 goals you'll win £150.
You can also bet against teams and have some fun with the time of the next goal, really good fun.
If you've got a spreadex account you can switch to sports from financials.
Or go to to set up an account.
Obviously spreadbet sport for fun only!
Traitors (**) BBC1
An incomprehensible, long-winded and dull new reality show taking elements of other shows.
A bunch of annoying extraverts (people who are tested to make sure they shriek at everything) have to "Murder" each other till there's a winner.
Along the way some boring "challenges". In order to try and make it exciting every segment is stuffed with dramatic music.
It's trying way too hard and in the words of a different show, "I'm out."
Coming next: Squid Game, a bunch of annoying extraverts get shot every time they screw up, they all die apart from one, I'd watch that!
White Lotus (****)
The plot is speeding up with a nice twist at the end of this week's.
The mystery deepens, the plot thickens.
The highlight remains the grandad, son and grandson relationship as they all engage the services of the local hookers.
It's simply great entertainment. If you missed series 1, start there.
The Menu (*****) Cinemas then streaming
A five star tasting menu of a movie featuring Ralph Fiennes as a chef going bonkers.
Think Gordon Ramsay but on steroids.
I can't say much more or it'll ruin it if you see it but do go, it is fabulous.
One of the best films I've seen all year, you definitely won't be looking at your watch.
Upright (****) Sky Comedy
Superior comedy from Tim Minchin and whatsherface from House of Dragon.
Second series picks up 4 years later from the delightful first.
Another road trip is about to get under way and no doubt some fun adventures along the way from the oddly matched duo.
You can tell they have great fun making it too, nice one.
Anyone playing this year's Whamageddon?
Starts today.
You have to get as far as you can to Xmas Day without hearing Wham's "Last Xmas".
This is pretty difficult but I'm giving it a good go this year.
I got to Dec 11th last year, this year aiming for the 15th.
Make sure you go nowhere it might be played.
Or have the radio on any station that might play it. Such as any of Heart's radio stations, radio 2, any local radio, smooth, greatest hits, gold stations.
Warning: it's briefly on my Xmas 2019 podcast (NT podcast 2), so if you want to be out of the game from the off it's from 3.08-3.12
>
(My favourite Xmas tune is at 1.41)
Can't remember what shares I talked about then, hope there were no stinkers!
Anyway, good luck, I'll tell you at the next update if I've avoided hearing Last Xmas, can any of you make it to the big day?

EMAILS: I do beg you not to send me emails asking me for advice on a particular share. It isn't legal for me to give you individual advice and all I do is send you a mail saying that, which wastes a lot of my time and yours too.
****
COPYING TRADES: I can't stop you from copying a trade I made but remember the price may already be a lot higher than I paid indeed I hope it is as buying at good prices is what I do for a living. You may be buying at the top and could easily lose money. Also I can make terrible mistakes and have done in the past. I could also sell before you or before the share tanks. I may still be holding in a year when you sold at a loss. Always do your own research, don't jump in blindly. Market makers are very clever at knowing how to make you pay top dollar and then push you out at a loss. This site is about sensible investment and learning how to trade sensibly and is not a tipping site. Beware. Never push buy on anything till you've done proper research and got yourself a sensible price.

MARKETS
Well, the markets have surprised to the upside earlier than usual.
Usually the back end of November is pretty poor but the market's been in a pretty good mood.
Seems comments by the big financial cheese in the USA last night has helped sentiment.
Hey! Maybe things aren't so bad after all!
Possibly it isn't all doom and gloom.
You've got to be careful about getting back into shares you lost money on as you feel the share "owes you".
So three strikes and you're out is usually the way I look at it.
So cautiously I gave ADF a last chance to prove itself!
This company which provides facilities for filming all kinds of movies and TV shows has recently expanded its operations in Scotland but today announces what looks like a decent deal.
It's bought Location One and unlike a lot of acquisitions this one will be an earner right from kick off (sorry been watching too much world cup).
It's a perfect fit - Adf and Location One have worked alongside each other - each production needs equipment from both companies.
Broker Cenkos put out a 7 page note on research tree today - it's upgraded revenues by 24% and profit by 13%.
It reckons a pe value of 8.4x is too low believing it should be trading nearer its peers on 15x.
Well, that's probably pushing it a bit! But an 80p target looks reasonable from here. There's also a decent dividend.
If you're interested in getting broker notes go to - worth it if you like small caps as you get in depth analysis.
To get a discount click "upgrade" to the package you'd like and for the 20% discount type "nakedtrader" into the discount code box.
The head of research tree is dropping into both online seminars (7th and 14th) so those of you coming to that can ask questions.
I bought into Knights Group KGH
Shares in this legal services company were given a long sentence after being found guilty of a profits warning due to Omnicrom.
However now worth just a quarter of what they were, they look very good value.
A statement last week was much more promising and even more promising was its boss bought a million quids worth of shares.
No idea how wealthy he is, but still a million quid from his own pocket, he won't want to lose that surely?
It's spent a lot on buying up other firms.
If forecasts are right it's trading on a tiny multiple of under 5 with a dividend of nearly 5%.
Looking at it as a whole, it seems well undervalued and I'd reckon it was worth nearer 120-140p. Anything under 100p looks a bargain.
Obviously though as it screwed up before it has to go in as a bit higher risk.
Alliance Pharma APH has had a rough year- a drug distributor that's had all kinds of problems mainly with orders in one division being cancelled.
But other divisions are going well. I would have actually left it alone as too risky if it hadn't said underlying profits will be at least £30m but with that figure to work off, just about I'm giving it a chance.
If the trading statement isn't hiding any other nasties it does look undervalued now and there could be a big bounce. There's a dividend as well being paid out over Xmas.
APH could potentially surprise to the upside especially if it sorts out its problems.
Record produced a fabulous statement and I had no hesitation of getting some more.
I've been very patient with my holding while it didn't do much.
Profits have jumped at this currency specialist and there's a 14% increase in dividend.
There's significant growth ahead with a 46% leap in profits.
Even after a rise after this statement looks like there's more upside to come.
Yu Group shares are racing away and I've joined in the party. (Remember there ain't no party like an S Club Party).
This one is kind of like a Telecom Plus for business users.
I made a whole heap on this a few years ago, it then fell into a bad place but the current energy market has given it a sweet spot like Telecom Plus.
The trading update this week has everything you'd like to see such as the words "significantly exceed expectations".
It cites record bookings and even better looks like it's going to have a decent cash pile as it says cash will also significantly exceed.
Given even after rises, both forward PE and PEG ratios look mighty cheap and given the next statement is likely to be very decent, there may well be a lot more to come.
Not one to hold long-term for me but maybe 2-3 months for some nice extra upside for Yu.
Talking Telecom Plus, well it has been amazing and couldn't quite resist getting more even though my dog-eared share certificate from way back when is worth £500,000 not counting hundreds of thousands in dividends.
TEP remains in a sweet spot, and results were even better than expected.
A massive rise in dividend and profits and a lot more to come make it at least a must hold.
It went ex dividend for a pile today resulting of course in a lower price today (shares go down by the amount of the ex div on ex div date usually).
So us holders can expect some nice cash in our accounts on December 16th.
Sadly when it comes to selling some from the cert it's the only share I'll ever have to pay CGT on. Probably worth me selling a small amount in March to use up the last of the 12,500 allowance before it goes to 6,000.
Btw if you have more than 1,500 shares in TEP and you use its services under Utility Discount Warehouse there's a superb shareholder discount off your energy, I mean really big - ensure you're getting it!
If you want to become a Utility Discount Warehouse customer and get great energy rates, also super broadband, sim cards, insurance all on one monthly bill let me know - as I'd get commission in return you'll get my email which has all the website stuff plus one or two higher risk deals for my SIPP which I don't include here.
If you want a side hustle and make money anytime anyone switches on a light let me know and become a distributor - there is some quite big money on offer now - you can even sell to yourself and make commission on your own energy/broadband use - mail me for details on either or both.
Also added a few more Argentex. It had come back a bit on profit taking after its fab statement so I took advantage.
For those of you who've done level 2 with me at seminars as I write this there is a big buyer at 116 on the order book which may push up the price through resistance.
Superdry looks in a whole heap of trouble and I've added to a short here.
I've held a short in Superdry for a long time, when the share price was over 400p and I've made many thousands on it.
I was thinking of actually taking profits but a statement this week had me reaching for some new shorts in it.
Problem is it isn't appealing to anyone - the lucrative young market thinks it's for dull oldies and the dull oldies are going to Next.
On top of that there seems to be financial problems and it says it's in talks with a hedge fund baked lender to secure its future,
I don't know would you buy into this? Surely way too risky?
Anyhow I've shorted with a guaranteed stop just in case there's a really good rescue case but this could be a bust.
Elsewhere K3c is at last busting out of a previous tight range which looks promising.
There should be a trading statement soon, if that's decent then it could push up through 300p, if it does then we could target 360p.
K3C looks very cheap, and be no surprise if there was a bid out of the blue for it. I think north of 450p would be needed.
The big question is has the Xmas rally started already! I only wish I knew.
It usually doesn't really get going for a while longer.
Sometimes the indices drop in early December then put on steam later.
Problem is I guess is some must be sitting on decent profits so profit taking could see indicies come under pressure then rise again.
I'll be covering the Santa rally live at the beginners/improvers online event on Dec 7th and the follow up on Dec 14th. Mail me at robbiethetrader if you are interested in either event with "December interested" or "follow up interested".
The SB firm I use for santa rally is
It's because it has only a 0.8 FTSE spread and it's so easy to change stops and manage with an easy layout.
However, a warning. There was one year the santa rally didn't work, I think it was 2019 and you must realise if you get it wrong and don't use stops you can do your brains if you're inexperienced.
Main thing is not to be greedy, don't go crazy on staking and understand potential max losses.
There's a massive chapter on how to play the Xmas rally in The Naked Trader Guide to Spreadbetting Edition 2 which you can buy from this site or on Amazon. And hey - I get £1 from every sale - whoopeee!
If you're looking for a rally in smallcaps as spreadbets then you need
That's because it will quote all the smallcaps for you whereas most of the other SB firms won't.
I have a special guest from a spreadbet firm to chat through Xmas rallies and also research-tree to tall brokers notes.
Can't wait to see you all online and hope you enjoy the events!
Next website update is Dec 16th with all the news of any trades or ideas that came up at the online seminars.

It's that time of the year when you can add 20k into an isa.
It is an amazing tax perk and we are very lucky to have it, I am especially grateful and remember the feeling a while back when I made the first tax free million in one!
I use Barclays, IG and Interactive Investor for mine.
Interactive Investor have a referral thing for the moment so if you want £125 of fees taken off let me know - available for anyone who invests 10k plus.
On the referral I apparently would get £200 into my account so a win win for both of us?

***Research tree discount offer: 20pc off.***
I really can recommend it as it is a big help and complements the brilliant stockopedia, the only other site I recommend.
So this site has broker notes on companies, plenty of in depth research. You can find things such as pre-tax profit forecasts and the most shorted companies. There's an easy search facility and also a news feed.
So for example on the morning of a share result or statement you can get a broker report on that share, it is really useful! Broker reports are usually very in depth and I especially like being able to see a full year pre tax profit forecast which seems impossible to get elsewhere.
You can get a limited free account - for full access if you like it - click "upgrade" and there is a 20 per cent discount if you type nakedtrader into the discount code box.
The address is - for the discount remember the code nakedtrader after you ask to upgrade. If you upgrade let me know if the upgrade thing works well and is easy or if you encountered any probs getting the 20pc off.
For small caps try Spreadex say for the moment they will carry on with most of the shares so that could be another place to deal in shares IG won't.
Trades made for my sipp are exclusively available on my email service (this is the website stuff plus exclusive trades mailed to you earlier on update days). For subscription details mail me
