Anyone need some shower gel?

January 12, 2023

Weight loss jabs are soon coming to everyone, possibly the saviour of the NHS.

A new jab, with no history, stopping people eating.

What could possibly go wrong?

Awful to read that Liverpool's striker Jota has died in a car crash.

And just two weeks after he got married.

Just terrible and maybe a reminder to us all our lives can end at any time and make the most of it while we have it.

It's odd not seeing line judges at Wimbledon any more.

But let's be fair, the system does work very well.

I suppose there was a bit more drama when we had the challenges.

The days of "You cannot be serious" are at an end forever.

(Though what happens if there is a power outage?)

We've been to Wimbledon a few times, if you can get a ticket it's worth it.

Glastonbury hit all the wrong kind of headlines.

Musicians just shouldn't get involved with politics, play the tunes and shut up!

And chanting for anyone to die is despicable.

Best band Wet Leg was hidden away in an afternoon slot.

Great tunes. And they can really sing. Fantastic.

If you never heard them search up their latest "Catch These Fists" and the classics "Chaise Longue" and "Wet Dream"

Same comment for Olivia Rodrigo.

A massive talent who can really belt out the rock numbers and plays the piano.

My favourite is her big hit "Good for You".

Can't say the same for Charlie XCX.

I quite enjoy girlie rave pop but to turn up and pretty much mime is surely a big disappointment.

Without backing tracks, autotune and all the trickery one suspects it would be like poor karoke.

She did give it her all wiggling her arse around and all that.

Charli's real name is... prepare to laugh...

Charlotte Emma Aitchinson.

From now on, to give myself more cred I wish to be known as...

Robbi NTX

Who wants to come to one of my gigs now?

Avoided my seminars so far? Bet you're tempted now.

I actually do a very good version of "Ghostbusters". Just ask.

I promise not to wiggle my bum.

Noel's Kiwi Adventure *** ITV

Who knows what to make of Noel Edmonds except he is desperate to be loved.

This show produced by guess who follows him as he copies Jeremy Clarkson and builds a pub business in the back end of nowhere in NZ.

He seems rather jealous of Clarkson.

It is fascinating: he has a desperate need to be in front of camera, quipping with a ton of dad jokes.

He's devoted to his wife who he met on deal or no deal. Deal!

He is genuinely talented no doubt but is he really likeable?

Hard to say, but doesn't seem as genuine as Clarkson.

There are some staged bits which are tedious (Mr Blobby ffs) but fast forward those and it is entertaining.

Squid Game 3 **** Netflix

It's the last series of the allegorical satirical cartoonish Korean entertaining but shouldn't be show.

All is as normal, deaths galore adding 900m dollars to Netflix coffers.

Contestant 456 continues to survive at least during the first 2 episodes which is all I've seen so far.

Will Front Man's brother find the island before it's too late?

Who's next for the chop? All I know is don't ask me to play hide and seek ever again.

Sirens **** Netflix

Hugely fun "Wealth TV" entertainment.

Julienne Moore and Kevin Bacon play hugely rich Americans in a White Lotus style.

Yes, again we can watch rich people having a horrid time.

Property porn galore. As a photographer says "They must be bad people, look at their house."

It gets a bit mad at times and it's quite silly. There's a slight element of creepiness with much older guys after a young lady.

But even so a real fun watch and cleverly only 5 episodes before inevitably it would all get too much.

Fubar ** Amazon

Arnie is back playing himself pretty much.

Disappointing return for this, enjoyed series one but better to have left it there.

It started ok but quickly gets so bonkers it becomes irritating.

Stuff coming up this month that might be worth watching:

Too Much "" Netflix. From July 10th.

The return of Lena Dunham of "Girls" fame. An American dumped by her boyfriend takes her broken heart to London.

The Assassin "" Amazon.

Keeley Hawes, a retired assassin goes on the run with her son.

Reader Sir William recommends watching Waterfront on Netflix which is top of my list to view, thanks Sir William, my review will be here next time, see if I agree!

Supermarkets will soon be forced to put lettuces by the till instead of twixes.

Of course that is bound to work.

Hmmm. Will I get a lettuce or do a little hunt for a twix?

Ps. Clue: Twixes are nice and lettuce is vile and can poison you!

There is a very easy way to stop illegals from entering the country.

Switch Border Force workers for GP receptionists.

I gather there is a dating service called "hinge".

I am setting up a dating service for stock market traders on discussion boards.

I'm going to call it: "Unhinged".

NEW: SPREADBETTING SEMINAR FEB 24th online
Time for the once a year spreadbetting seminar for spreadbetting beginners and improvers.

A day of spreadbetting insights - from how to trade long or short from scratch, costs, strategies, ideas, shorter and medium term ideas to a make some kind of income.

All the technicals, best ways to place trades, which firms are best to use. And how to use your account just like an isa.

Plus guests from the SB world, SB traders/investors dropping in. And lots of live trading ideas - should be an interesting day especially for those of you who've thought about SB and been perhaps a bit scared of it.

For more details mail me at robbiethetrader with "SB interested". Discount for anyone who's been to any previous seminar.

My wife Elizabeth has been busy doing trading psychology sessions over the new year. In fact she's in the garden room office right now with someone.

She can help with the all important trading mindset and can talk you through topics like overcoming FOMO, having more winning positions, feeling calm, breaking habits and how to balance work and trading.

Sessions with Elizabeth should make you more confident and make better decisions. I've seen people making big breakthroughs. You also get a guest appearance from me in your final session.

For more and to book a free taster session go to

Look forwards to meeting some of you online on Jan 27th for the beginners/improvers seminar.

I'll be sending you all a questionnaire the weekend before, if you can answer some of the questions that would be great so I know where to pitch it!

Let me be the last to wish you all a happy new year.

Can't be any shittier than 2022 can it? No! I'm optimistic, it's gonna be great!!

My resolutions are to start smoking, take some drugs, eat lots of cake and stop exercising, so far I've managed two of those.

Also in this very first month of January my new trading book 50 trading strategies should be finished for publication in the summer!

Nearly there with it. My resolution is it will be finished in the next two weeks.

Though I just noticed I use the word "so" in the new book at the beginning of paragraphs a lot.

So all those "so's" are for the axe.

So, also I vow to work on my drama script about a bad doctor set in the 60s and my comedy.

Found some help with the drama but if anyone out there knows how I can get a comedy script read by someone let me know, and a free seminar is yours.

Like many of you I picked up some lurgy over the festive season.

Serves me right for all those theatre trips and daring to socialise.

After a fab night with Derren Brown we went to the National Theatre, darlings, to watch Othello.

Cultured, that's what I am. My friend in it was brilliant, and it was a great performance.

Instead of picking up covid, I got bronchitis instead and it's a whole lot worse than covid!

Nasty it is. Lucky for me antibiotics still work and I'm now clear of it.

Apologies to all those who got the full force of my constant whining about it.

Unlike Mr Sunak perfectly happy to say I go private with my private doc who has a practice in the next street and charges £50.

I get seen right away, lucky me, agreed but if you can afford £50 why not? Takes the pressure off the NHS and I go private but would go nhs for anything really serious.

Only thing is he has a load of stories and I've heard them all before and it's the opposite of the NHS in that it's quite hard to get out of there before another long anecdote starts.

Sorry doc, got to go, forgot to feed the cat..."

He's in his late 60's and says stuff that would probably get him cancelled if he was practising anywhere else but where I live.

Frankly, thank goodness the festive period is over. All that hassle.

The cards, wrapping, strange trees in the house, strange people in the house.

And as usual two cards arrived on Xmas Eve from people we hadn't sent cards too. Typical.

Weird food. I mean what the hell is brandy butter?

Indeed after getting some hampers I've got 3 brandy butters, two xmas puddings and 45 packs of salted caramel biscuits left. Any offers?

At least this year I'm not left with shelves full of that horrible hotel chocolat chocolates.

They really are grim, not a patch on twixes.

Last year for some weird reason every single gift was hotel chocolat. Even got a pack from Marriott Hotels.

I ended up with stacks of it. Even after desperately re-gifting the stuff, still couldn't shift it all.

That's even after the postman, binmen and delivery drivers all took some.

I managed to get away with it this year by pretending to those likely to send them to me this year that I couldn't eat chocolate any more due to health reasons. And btw I really like Molton Brown bath gel!

That worked brilliantly.

ps. Anyone need a Molton Brown bath gel? Got drawers of them.

Many of you have asked about the once a year spreadbetting seminar so just fixed the date for Feb 24th online.

Everything spreadbetting will be discussed all day for beginners and improvers.

How to do it, how to short a share, treating a SB account like an isa, working out the costs, shorter and medium term tax free ways to attempt to make money from it plus special wise guests, traders and SB firm staff.

More details above somewhere, mail for details if you fancy this day.
Good to meet a few of you at the last event.

Lots of beginners, I know there was a lot to get your heads round but three of you have booked the follow up so I must have broken through!

Only one woman which is unusual, so well done Linda! (And your fabulous dining room)

Lots of interesting ideas came up and it was a fascinating day to do it with markets well up.

Thanks for the lovely feedback like this from Chris:

What a great day! Thanks so much for the effort and time you both put in.

I've been a teacher for the last 30 years and I'm not sure I could have kept a group of pupils so captivated for so long.

Humour and in-depth subject knowledge go a long way!

Too many best bits to mention, but I was impressed that you had read all the questionnaires and had something to say about each one.

Also, I loved seeing your thought process in deciding which shares to trade and level 2 was also an eye opener.

Thanks Chris, we so enjoyed it.

Thanks a lot for recent online seminar feedback!
.. Such as this from Phil:

The seminar was delivered with huge integrity (there was Zero hidden agenda/ulterior motives, it was simple and open with some great laughs thrown in)

As much as I found myself trying to complicate the process and make it more sophisticated in my own tiny brain.

You brought it back to, Keep Things Simple. Do Your Own Research. Trade without emotion and above all, trade the market you find"¦ not what you or some pundit thinks it should be.

You also took the time to answer "every" question anyone posed. And it was every question.
Loads of shares ideas to boot, but more importantly the process to find your own.
Brilliant!
Thanks Andrew - we have got rather experienced at running them on zoom now!

Claire mailed me with some feedback on the seminar which she attended.

Thanks for a fantastic seminar, I learned a lot and got every question I could think of answered. I think the most beneficial thing to me was just seeing with my own eyes how you go through the process of picking shares to buy and witnessing your thought process as you go through and also being able to ask questions as they arise. The system you and Elizabeth have for answering all the questions is fabulous & means you depart the maximum amount of information that is humanly possible in one day! The next day I just wished I was doing the course again instead of going back to work as it seemed dull in comparison."

Thanks Claire! It was a lovely group with a great sense of humour.

Jas, thanks for your mail as you've been to two zoom seminars.

Just wanted to say thank you for a couple of wonderful seminars.
Your seminars were brilliant. Delivered methodically and with just a simple honest approach to dealing with the markets. You've helped me immensely in sorting my trading plan out and finding a good and profitable way to trade. After many months trying to figure out level 2, you sorted that out in one afternoon.

Since the seminar, I have placed 5 trades, 2 have closed out with profits and 3 are still running with profits. All trades placed using fundamental research and not Youtube videos
from David:

Well it doesn't happen often, but I am absolutely speechless! I don't think I have ever spent a more worthwhile day nor spent money more wisely and gladly.

I for one was practically at the point of orgasm all day in my enjoyment and appreciation of what you were presenting! Even though I have read NT time and again, to see you going through the process of stock assessment over and over was incalculably useful and I managed to take six A4 pages of notes during the day. I was fascinated to learn about (and see) Level 2 in action and learn more about Spread "ËœBetting'.

I thought the presentation balance was perfection, and Elizabeth was a complete star with her very well-judged handling of the questions....

.....This is a rather long-winded way of saying thank you so much to both of you - today was one of the top five most enjoyable days of my life, and I greatly look forward to joining you again!"

Naked Rambling

According to a survey younger workers want: working from home, free gym, cakes, shower access, half days, no working on Monday or Fridays, a life coach, physio and yoga.

As someone who has lazed about.. I mean... worked from home since 2001 I'm fed up with you all "working from home". I know exactly how much work you do.

I say get back to the office!

Can you imagine when I worked for various national papers and I'd asked for free gym, cakes and half days.. I'd have been told to fluck off and probably immediately fired.

It was more like get on with the work, there's a crap coffee machine and don't spend too long in the loo.

Poor old bankers. Free coffee has been cancelled at Goldman Sachs, my poor poor darlings.

Fancy actually having to buy a coffee, bet they're shocked a coffee is at least £3.

Apparently the current vogue is to only work on Tuesdays, Wednesdays, and Thursdays.

This group of "workers" are known as "Twats" (Tuesday, Wednesday and Thursdays")

As far as I am concerned there are way too many twats in my area.

While they will probably always be twats I am hoping one day they won't be around for 5 days rather than 3.

Sitting with this thought in my time I have met some alpha males smugly buying bitcoin who are best described as "Complete Utter Numpty Tossers".

I wonder if there is a shortform way I could describe them. Anyone any ideas?

Stonehouse (*****) ITV
Well done on ITV for kick starting the year with a terrific drama, well it's a comedy really based on the life of disgraced Labour MP John Stonehouse.

It's a laugh a minute with brilliant acting from real life husband and wife Matthew MacFadyen and Keely Hawes.

Best bit is the exasperated Czech spymaster who tells Stonehouse that he's the most useless spy he has ever encountered.

Kaleidoscope (*****) Netflix
A oceans 11 style heist series but with a twist - apart from the finale you're given episodes at random.

Or you can watch episodes in any order - they have a colour rather than an episode number which apparently means there are 40,000 different ways you'll see it.

Each episode is set a certain time period before the heist and that makes it so much fun.

Stars Gus from Breaking Bad. Gradually you learn the different backstories of the protagonists and put the pieces together.

Very entertaining viewing and a great soundtrack to boot.

Now to spoil it for you, if you want to watch it in time order it's..

(look away if you don't want to know)

Violet, Green, Yellow, Orange, Blue, White, Red, Pink.

(You can look again now).

Flatshare (**) Paramount

A promising beginning male/female share one bedroom flat but never meet, work different shifts.

After a reasonable opening, it all became a bit "who cares" and yes they will meet by accident and fall in love.

Still, lasted till the middle of episode three.

Next Level Chef (*) ITV
Gordon effing Ramsay again.

FFS, Gordon this is terrible and wrong on so many levels.

Now please eff off the TV and turn your attention to your actual restaurants which is some cases really do need your actual attention.

The great thing about Harry is he has let us know that the royal family is a hugely dysfunctional family, even more dysfunctional than we thought ours are.

I mean. given I thought I came from a pretty dysfunctional one, well the royals easily take the royal biscuit and that can only give us all some cheer!

Keep spilling the beans, old bean.

As Harry has done I think we should all come clean regarding the number of people we've killed.

My total: Zero.

Number of people I wish I could have killed: 36. (Just this year so far).

Make that 37 - that bloody zombie pavement texter this morning.

EMAILS: I do beg you not to send me emails asking me for advice on a particular share. It isn't legal for me to give you individual advice and all I do is send you a mail saying that, which wastes a lot of my time and yours too.

****
COPYING TRADES: I can't stop you from copying a trade I made but remember the price may already be a lot higher than I paid indeed I hope it is as buying at good prices is what I do for a living. You may be buying at the top and could easily lose money. Also I can make terrible mistakes and have done in the past. I could also sell before you or before the share tanks. I may still be holding in a year when you sold at a loss. Always do your own research, don't jump in blindly. Market makers are very clever at knowing how to make you pay top dollar and then push you out at a loss. This site is about sensible investment and learning how to trade sensibly and is not a tipping site. Beware. Never push buy on anything till you've done proper research and got yourself a sensible price.

MARKETS
Well, well, well. "Happy New year" says Mr and Mrs Market. I mean Mr, Mrs, them, they, maybe, don't know, and not sure. Hey, whatever. We're all inclusive on this website. Go woke!

And can you actually believe this: sometimes shares can actually go up?

Who'd have thought it?

But the big question is for how long? And that's three question marks in a row which is too many. Isn't it?

You want answers from me don't you, dammit. Well, you're not getting em, I tell you. Because how the hell should I know? That's five ?'s now.

What happens with the markets in 2023 all depends on what a load of bonkers alpha males in charge of various countries get up to.

Or as I said in my rant above somewhere as I like to refer to them: "Complete Utter Numpty Tosser S."

Maybe they can make peace, inflation and oil prices will come down, everyone will get less nervous and markets will soar.

Or, everything gets worse and we slide into a massive recession.

Place your bets please. I'm going to do the usual and try and follow it.

If good things happen then I'll buy. If they don't I'll go into cash and short.

I suggest just don't get stuck in a rut. Be prepared to change strategies if you need to.

Don't just stick to whatever made you money before. Think ahead, be a detective, and whatever you do stop giving too much credence to twitter tipsters. Do your own thing.

Anyway it's a great start to 2023 at least so far and I am sure most of you have seen your shares actually rise which must be a feeling you didn't get since 2020.

Right enough of this rambling, I have a mug of Yorkshire Gold and a slice of cake awaiting my pleasure so I want to be outta here. Let's get this done. (copyright Boris).

Superdry got its re-financing and I immediately shut off my shorts and banked a profit of £7950.

And I switched straight to going long!

You have to be able to change your mind about a share though it's unusual for me to "switch sides" just like that.

My reason was a decent re-financing was announced which negated the reason to be short for now, and trading was a lot better than I expected with debt coming down. It wasn't likely to go bust, well at least not for a year!

Shorts were then closed, and longs opened.

But. I'm not sure those longs will be open for.. er... long. I think I will probably exit and bank likely profits before a trading statement that is due soon. Just in case. After that I suspect I will, as Peter Jones says, be out. It is weird being long of Superdry after being short of it for years.

Ps, a certain person reading this has still not sent me the Superdry trakkie bottoms they promised me.

(Medium or 32 inch waist thanks). (Preferably plain not with Superdry written all over it as that would be rather embarrassing).

Wilmington (WIL) kept coming up at the two seminars I did in December mainly because the Stocko algos seems to like it and it popped up on a lot of screens.

It was also suggested by a very good investor at the follow up event.

I kept trying to buy it cheaper on DMA at the sell price but no luck so had to pay the full spread on it, darn.

It's in training and education services in the global governance, risk and compliance... zzzzzz hang on I nodded off there. Where was I?

You can't expect me to read through its tedious statement but I can see profits are on the up as is cash and it is rising quite strongly.

The downside is it hasn't said a word since September and last year it had a trading update on Jan 27th.

Therefore it is possible I could be buying in the dark a bit but I am given courage by the strength. I guess we'll see. Maybe if it keeps on going up, I'd sell some the day before the statement but no idea when that is!

Oh the trials and tribulations of an investor/trader.

I picked up some Games Workshop. Slightly reluctantly as it seems to be a punters' fave and you know what happens to shares owned by punters.

It makes miniature figures and games with its big seller "Warhammer".

(What would you like for Xmas, darling?" "Oh some miniature figures please, love. And I beg you, no hotel chocolat, just my usual Twix")

Lots of positives here. In particular there's going to be a tie-up with Amazon for film and TV rights which could well bring in some decent money.

It has a lot of cash so pays out loads of dividends and looks like it is going ex on Jan 19th so it should start that day down a bit. I'm thinking of a longer-term isa hold here unless things turn sour.

I bought some Globaldata. (DATA) Bet that got you excited, nice name, sounds fab doesn't it?

Ooooh, Globaldata! We live in a Global world and look how much data we use! We also live in a material world and my wife's a material girl.

They help clients "decode the future" which also sounds exciting and rather like a company Tom Cruise would use in a thrilling tech-style movie.

A trading statement with my fave expression "materially ahead of expectations" in it prompted me to buy in.

It's not cheap but the prospects for now look excellent so I'm prepared to go for a PE of over 20 on this one.

With its growing order book, there could be a lot further upside, and perhaps it can decode the future and tell us what the share price might be in 6 months.

Hopefully "Materially" higher.

Am I ever going to get my hands on my tea and cake, I need to write less words. I think I am getting verbose. Which is a rather nice word. (A great seven letter word for scrabble too).

Indeed why do I even write these updates? Ok, you're right- to show off. Fair enough.

I bought some Bodycote. This one's looking rather strong and made some money on it last year.

Heat treatment and thermal processing (ooh!). Profits rising, strong statements, that's all I'm saying, I'm getting nearer to that tea.

Also on the buy list was LBG Media - a higher risker which I mentioned on the sipp email to those of you who get it.

This one's quite interesting, it's a youth publisher which uses all those social media platforms I don't use like Tik Tak, Instragrime and whatever the other one is.

It's quite volatile but on the up, seems to have attracted a lot of buyers recently.

But the main reason for buying is the two big chiefs Alex Solomou and Tim Croston are bald.

Bald guys are much better in business as they spend the hour a day men spend faffing about with their hair on the business thus giving a massive 365 hours more work a year to the business.

If in doubt, always. Buy bald, sell hair. Works every time.

One or two "top ups" made. I'm not going to elaborate, my views on why I'm in these are in the archive. (Can you believe that goes right back to 2005!) No wonder I'm becoming a grumpy old bastard who wants to get this out of the way so I can get hold of that cake. I've been writing this website for nearly 20 years ffs.

Those top ups were in Indivior, MS International and Me Group.

Onto some sells - I already mentioned Superdry profits of £7,950.

K3C which has what looks like a certain bid at 350p I took most profits on that just leaving one pos open just in the very remote chance of a higher bid.

Profits then of £7,961 for the website but for me personally a lot more than that - in reality have sold more than £150,000 worth which leaves me a nice cash pile.

Been a decent share but a shame the bid was lowball, really should have been 450p.

Topsliced a little bit of Argx after an amazing run to bank £3,182. Might buy back on any weakness.

Asos and Next shorts were both sold because retail shares were looking strong and they hit spreadbet trailing stops as they rose. That's profits of £300 and £ 4,940 respectively. Should have set the trailer on Asos tighter but never mind.

That's total profits banked for the website then of £24,333.

After making losses with my first go at the Xmas rally, my second go has really produced the goods and it's now become the new year rally too.

I didn't see any point in closing out FTSE rally attempt number two. Now set my stop 150 pts away so I ought to get some kind of profit from it.

Best site for ftse punts remains as the 0.8 spread is so much tighter than the others.

Igqeo (IQG) came out with a nice "ahead of" statement today. One I own that is nicely off the radar and so isn't messed about with loads of people getting in and out all the time. Please don't buy any because I know none of you can hold onto any shares for longer than 15 minutes.

Alliance Pharma announced a new COO today, looks very experienced. Share price is going well and looks set to bust over 60p. 85p possible here on any better news.

BTW I hope you really enjoyed the incredibly detailed work I presented on all the shares mentioned today, do you like the way I meticulously go through the accounts? Takes me seconds... I mean hours of hard work.

I just can't understand why Stockopedia hasn't offered me a job writing in depth analysis - they just don't know what they're not missing.

Right, that's it. Can you leave me alone now so I can go have my tea and toast then? Well thanks! Excellent no more work for me for two weeks.

See some of you at the beginner improver seminar online on Jan 27th (Still space if you'd like to spend the day with me and lots of Yorkshire tea)

And don't forget for those of you who fancy getting into spreadbetting the spreadbet one is Feb 24th.

Hurrah! Off for tea and .... bugger it's the doorbell - I forgot about the bloody Ocado delivery. Dammit. They better not have substituted the Twixes and Freddos.

SHAREPAD OFFER

Some of you are now also using Sharepad.
I take both Sharepad and Stockopedia - on Sharepad I especially like the company forecasts, not only are they pre-tax forecasts but often look ahead right out into 2025 which I feel really helps me make a decision. Also many net debt forecasts are up to 2025.

Lots of great screens and brilliant algorythms which give out red flags (and green ones).

Sharescope/SharePad It has lots of great research tools, it is well laid out and it has pre-tax profit forecasts which I find very handy. You can also upgrade to level 2 and real time prices.

It's that time of the year when you can add 20k into an isa.

It is an amazing tax perk and we are very lucky to have it, I am especially grateful and remember the feeling a while back when I made the first tax free million in one!

I use Barclays, IG and Interactive Investor for mine.

Interactive Investor have a referral thing for the moment so if you want £125 of fees taken off let me know - available for anyone who invests 10k plus.

On the referral I apparently would get £200 into my account so a win win for both of us?

If you want to go for the referral and the money off email me at robbiethetrader and will send you details of how we can do it.
Stockopedia as ever is SO useful. It really is a must have! And some fantastic talented writers/commentators too like Paul Scott.

Brilliant stats on all shares, amazing stock screens and lots more.

Spreadco still seems to have the tightest spreads for FTSE 250 shares and the FTSE.

***Research tree discount offer: 20pc off.***
I really can recommend it as it is a big help and complements the brilliant stockopedia, the only other site I recommend.
So this site has broker notes on companies, plenty of in depth research. You can find things such as pre-tax profit forecasts and the most shorted companies. There's an easy search facility and also a news feed.
So for example on the morning of a share result or statement you can get a broker report on that share, it is really useful! Broker reports are usually very in depth and I especially like being able to see a full year pre tax profit forecast which seems impossible to get elsewhere.
You can get a limited free account - for full access if you like it - click "upgrade" and there is a 20 per cent discount if you type nakedtrader into the discount code box.
The address is - for the discount remember the code nakedtrader after you ask to upgrade. If you upgrade let me know if the upgrade thing works well and is easy or if you encountered any probs getting the 20pc off.
For small caps try Spreadex say for the moment they will carry on with most of the shares so that could be another place to deal in shares IG won't.
Trades made for my sipp are exclusively available on my email service (this is the website stuff plus exclusive trades mailed to you earlier on update days). For subscription details mail me
with "email interested"

If you are thinking of A ftse trade try

It is hard to find a firm that does prices on the very small companies but this company does:

Trade tables follow! Trades are current open and recently closed trades. Closed trades feature the closing price and the amount I won or lost. All others are open. Trades get updated a little later than the narrative. Trading costs are ignored, however I also do not add in dividend payments and with the kinds of companies I buy, dividends tend to equal or outweigh costs. Spread rollovers ignored for web purposes. Tables as accurate as poss however a mistake or two can creep in and very occasionally if I forgot I sold or bought something it will be added at a later time. Trades first reported in the diary under Markets every other Thursday afternoon.
